Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan

A quick and easy recipe for classic Chicken Parmesan cooked in the air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 tablespoons shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts in half horizontally to create thinner cutlets.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another shallow dish, whisk the egg.
  4. Dip each chicken cutlet into the egg, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil.
  7. Place the coated chicken cutlets in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  8. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Top each chicken cutlet with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  10. Return to the air fryer for another 2-3 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

  • Serve immediately with your favorite pasta or a side salad.
  • For crispier chicken, ensure the breadcrumbs are evenly coated.
