Bang Bang Chicken Bowl

A flavorful and easy-to-make Bang Bang Chicken Bowl recipe with tender chicken and a creamy, spicy sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 12 tsp sriracha
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 cups cooked white or brown rice
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup red cabbage, shredded
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds
  • Fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Cook chicken until golden and fully cooked, about 6–8 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and garlic to make the Bang Bang sauce.
  4. Toss half of the sauce with the cooked chicken.
  5. Assemble bowls with rice as the base. Top with chicken, carrots, cucumber, red cabbage, and green onions.
  6. Drizzle remaining Bang Bang sauce over the top.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and cilantro if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust sriracha to your preferred spice level.
  • Honey is optional but adds a touch of sweetness.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or edamame.
