  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 cup your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Slider buns or sandwich rolls
  • Optional toppings: coleslaw, pickles, sliced onions

Instructions

  1. Place chicken in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
  5. Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
  6. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir it into the sauce.
  7. Season with salt if needed.
  8. Serve the pulled chicken on slider buns or sandwich rolls. Add your favorite toppings.

  • Chicken thighs tend to stay more moist than chicken breasts.
  • Adjust the amount of BBQ sauce and seasonings to your preference.
  • For a thicker sauce, remove the lid for the last 30 minutes of cooking on high.
