Cozy Hot Chocolate (Healthy Version) - Tasty

A simple recipe for a warm, lower-sugar hot chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Pour the almond milk into a small saucepan.
  2. Heat the milk over medium heat until warm, but do not boil.
  3. Whisk in the cocoa powder until fully dissolved and no lumps remain.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat.
  5. Stir in the maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt.
  6. Pour into mugs and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a thicker drink, use a small amount of cornstarch mixed with cold milk before heating.
  • You can substitute almond milk with any milk of your choice.
