Ingredients

Scale
  • 25g butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed or finely grated
  • 300ml double cream
  • 1 tsp Italian dried herbs
  • 100g Parmesan cheese, grated
  • ½ small bunch parsley, finely chopped
  • 400g pasta, cooked

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a pan over medium-low heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until softened.
  2. Stir in double cream and Italian herbs. Simmer gently.
  3. Gradually add Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  4. Add most of the chopped parsley and stir.
  5. Fold the sauce into cooked pasta. Serve immediately, garnished with remaining parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for best results.
  • Adjust garlic to your taste.
  • Heavy cream can be substituted for double cream.
  • Save pasta water to adjust sauce consistency if needed.
  • Serve immediately as the sauce thickens upon standing.
