Creamy Garlic Chicken Pasta

A bowl of Creamy Garlic Chicken Pasta, garnished with parsley, ready to be served.

A simple and satisfying pasta dish with tender chicken in a rich garlic cream sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 8 ounces pasta (fettuccine, penne, or your favorite)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. While pasta cooks, season chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  4. Add minced garlic to the same skillet and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  7. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Add the drained pasta.
  8. Toss everything together to coat the pasta and chicken evenly with the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
  9. Stir in fresh parsley. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
  10. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • Feel free to add cooked vegetables like spinach or broccoli to the dish.
