  • 5 ounces fresh spinach

Instructions

  1. Warm olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add Italian sausage and cook until browned, stirring occasionally.
  3. Drain excess fat from the skillet.
  4. Add rigatoni, chicken broth, heavy cream, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and tomato sauce to the skillet with the sausage.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 12 minutes, or until pasta is al dente, stirring occasionally.
  6. Stir in fresh spinach and cook until wilted.
  7. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste.
