Crispy Honey Garlic Glazed Salmon

A simple recipe for crispy, flavorful honey garlic glazed salmon.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thicker glaze)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC).
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear salmon, skin-side down, for 3-4 minutes until crispy.
  4. Flip salmon and transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. While salmon bakes, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and lemon juice in a small bowl. If using cornstarch, whisk it in until smooth.
  6. Remove salmon from the oven. Pour the honey garlic glaze over the salmon.
  7. Return to the oven for 2-3 minutes, or until the glaze is bubbly and slightly thickened.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispy skin, ensure the salmon is very dry before searing.
  • Adjust honey and soy sauce to your taste preference.
  • Serve with rice or steamed vegetables.
