A simple recipe for tender chicken breasts coated in a creamy ranch sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 packet (1 oz) dry ranch seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear chicken breasts for 4-5 minutes per side until browned. Remove chicken from the skillet.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Add chicken broth to the skillet and scrape up any browned bits.
  5. Stir in the dry ranch seasoning mix until dissolved.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and bring the sauce to a gentle simmer.
  7. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens slightly.
  8. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F or 74°C).
  9. Serve the chicken topped with the sauce.

Notes

  • You can substitute half-and-half for heavy cream for a lighter sauce.
  • Serve this dish over rice or with steamed vegetables.
