Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 4 cups Chopped Cabbage
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • Salt, Pepper, Paprika to taste
  • Optional: Cumin, Chili Flakes
  • Optional Add-ins: 1 cup Crumbled Tempeh or Plant-Based Substitute, 1 cup Carrots or Bell Peppers, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add minced garlic and sautรฉ until fragrant. Stir in tomato paste.
  5. Add chopped cabbage and beef broth. Bring to a simmer.
  6. Cook for 10-12 minutes until cabbage is tender.
  7. Adjust seasoning and serve warm.

  • You can use leaner or fattier ground beef based on your preference.
  • Coleslaw mix can be used as a substitute for chopped cabbage.
  • Yellow onions add sweetness, but any onion will work.
