Garlic Butter Shrimp in a Fast Skillet

A quick and flavorful garlic butter shrimp recipe cooked in one skillet, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 whole lemon, cut into wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes and sautรฉ for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes until pink, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the fresh lemon juice.
  6. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, increase the red pepper flakes.
  • If fresh parsley is unavailable, dried parsley can be used sparingly.
  • Other seafood like scallops or white fish can be substituted for shrimp.
