Ginger Soy Glazed Cod - Tasty

A simple recipe for cod fillets baked with a ginger and soy glaze.

Ingredients

  • 2 cod fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
  • Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil.
  3. In a separate small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Add this slurry to the soy sauce mixture and whisk until combined.
  4. Place the cod fillets in a baking dish.
  5. Pour the ginger soy glaze evenly over the cod fillets.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cod is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions, if desired.

Notes

  • Serve with steamed rice and your favorite vegetables.
