High Protein Pizza Pockets

Quick and easy pizza pockets packed with protein.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup cooked chicken breast, diced
  • 2 tablespoons marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chopped bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped onion

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the Greek yogurt and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough lightly on a floured surface.
  5. Divide the dough into two equal portions.
  6. Roll out each portion into a thin circle.
  7. On one half of each circle, spoon the marinara sauce, chicken, bell pepper, and onion.
  8. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the filling.
  9. Fold the other half of the dough over the filling to create a pocket.
  10. Press the edges to seal.
  11. Place the pockets on a baking sheet.
  12. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Notes

  • Serve with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
  • You can add other vegetables like mushrooms or spinach.
  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
