A simple recipe for making your own granola at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans)
  • 1/2 cup seeds (sunflower, pumpkin)
  • 1/2 cup melted coconut oil or vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, apricots)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, chopped nuts, and seeds.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the melted oil, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients and stir until everything is well coated.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown and fragrant.
