Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
24 ounces marinara sauce
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides.
Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 20-25 minutes, or until meatballs are cooked through.
Serve hot.
Notes
For a richer sauce, you can add a splash of red wine to the marinara.
You can substitute half of the ground beef with ground pork or veal for a different flavor profile.
