Ingredients
Scale
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
3 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil, divided
4 (6-oz.) salmon fillets, patted dry with paper towels
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 lemon, thinly sliced into rounds
Instructions
Whisk honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes in a medium bowl.
Heat 2 Tbsp. oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add salmon skin side up; season with salt and pepper. Cook until the flesh is heated through and seared, about 2 minutes.
Flip the salmon skin side down and add the remaining 1 Tbsp. oil. Add garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the honey mixture and lemons. Cook, basting the salmon occasionally, until the sauce reduces by about one-third, about 3 minutes more.
Notes
Patting the salmon dry helps achieve a better sear.
Adjust red pepper flakes to control the spice level.
