Quick and easy shrimp bowls with a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Cooked rice, for serving
  • Optional toppings: chopped green onions, sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp from skillet.
  4. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Stir in honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Bring to a simmer and cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  7. Serve the honey garlic shrimp over cooked rice.
  8. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicier sauce, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • You can substitute chicken or tofu for shrimp.
  • Serve with your favorite vegetables like broccoli or bell peppers.
