A simple recipe for honey soy glazed salmon with a sticky finish, perfect for a quick and flavorful weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on, about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)
  • Optional: lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place salmon skin-side down. Cook for 4-5 minutes until skin is crisp.
  4. Flip salmon carefully and cook for another 2-3 minutes until almost cooked through.
  5. Pour honey garlic glaze over the salmon. Let it bubble and thicken for about 2 minutes, spooning it over the fillets as it reduces.
  6. Remove from heat. Garnish with sliced green onions. Serve with lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • For crispier skin, ensure salmon is very dry before searing.
  • Adjust cooking time based on the thickness of your salmon fillets.
  • This glaze can also be used on other proteins like chicken or tofu.
