Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Mix in the mashed bananas and sour cream until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just incorporated.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before turning it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
