Make a creamy, chocolatey blended coffee drink at home for less money.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/21 cup brewed strong coffee or espresso, chilled
  • 1/4 cup milk of choice
  • 1 tbsp sugar of choice, optional
  • 1 cup ice
  • 2 tbsp chocolate syrup, plus extra for topping
  • 1/4 tsp xanthan gum, optional
  • 2 tbsp aerosol whipped cream, for topping

Instructions

  1. Add ice and chilled coffee to a blender. Blend briefly to break up the ice.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients except whipped cream.
  3. Blend again until the mixture is creamy and thick.
  4. Taste the mixture. Add more ice if you need a thicker texture or more sugar if you prefer it sweeter.
  5. Pour into a tall glass.
  6. Top with whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup.

Notes

  • For thickness, you can substitute the xanthan gum with 1 1/2 teaspoons of dry instant chocolate or vanilla pudding mix.
