One-Pot Beef and Macaroni (Comfort)

A simple, satisfying one-pot meal featuring ground beef, macaroni, and tomato sauce, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 small green pepper diced
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 15-oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp pepper
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a large saucepan over medium heat. Drain the beef and set it aside in a bowl.
  2. In the same saucepan, add olive oil. Cook the diced onion, green pepper, and macaroni until the onion and pepper begin to soften.
  3. Add the cooked beef, tomato sauce, water, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce to the saucepan.
  4. Cover the pan and simmer on low heat for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the macaroni reaches your preferred tenderness.
  5. Serve the dish in bowls.

Notes

  • You can use any shape of macaroni you prefer.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of dried Italian seasoning with the liquids.
