  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Stir in the orzo and toast for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add chicken broth, heavy cream, parsley, paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook until the orzo is tender.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese and cooked sausage. Let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
