Simple recipe for making meatballs using an oven instead of frying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, Parmesan cheese, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix the ingredients gently with your hands until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Roll the mixture into balls about 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the meatballs are browned and cooked through.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or a mix of beef and pork for the ground beef.
  • For extra flavor, brush the meatballs with your favorite tomato sauce during the last 5 minutes of baking.
