Salmon with Garlic Lemon Butter Sauce

  • 1.5 lbs salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the salmon fillets for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Remove salmon from the skillet and set aside.
  6. Add butter to the same skillet and melt over medium heat.
  7. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  8. Stir in lemon juice and bring to a simmer.
  9. Return the salmon to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top.
  10. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through.
  11. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • Serve with your favorite side dishes like roasted vegetables or rice.
