Salsa Verde Chicken

A simple recipe for chicken cooked with salsa verde.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup salsa verde
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the salsa verde, cumin, and chili powder.
  4. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish.
  5. Pour the salsa verde mixture over the chicken.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165ยฐF (74ยฐC).
  7. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with rice or tortillas.
  • You can add sliced jalapeรฑos for extra heat.
