A straightforward recipe for classic French toast.

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  2. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
  3. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the bread for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
