  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar

Instructions

  1. Toss the chicken pieces with 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and cornstarch in a bowl.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the coated chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Whisk together honey, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, water, and rice vinegar in a small bowl.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet and bring to a simmer. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 1-2 minutes.
  7. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss to coat completely in the sauce.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Serve these bites over rice or with steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
  • For a thicker sauce, increase the cornstarch slightly when mixing the sauce ingredients.
