Quick and easy honey garlic chicken bites with a sweet and spicy kick, perfect for a weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Pat dry chicken cubes and toss with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add chicken in batches and cook until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium, add minced garlic to the skillet, and cook until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  5. Stir in honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Return chicken to the pan and toss to coat. Cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  7. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For a gluten-free option, use tamari instead of soy sauce.
  • Adjust red pepper flakes for desired spice level.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
