Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup Irish cream liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream and granulated sugar.
  2. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves and the mixture just begins to simmer.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the Irish cream liqueur, vanilla extract, and salt.
  4. Let cool slightly before serving. The sauce will thicken as it cools.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes after adding the liqueur.
