White Cheddar and Spinach Chicken Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh spinach
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, white cheddar cheese, spinach, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties.
  4. Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook the burgers for 5-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165ยฐF (74ยฐC).
  6. Toast the burger buns if desired.
  7. Assemble the burgers with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a tablespoon of Dijon mustard to the mixture.
  • Ensure the spinach is well-drained to prevent the patties from becoming too wet.
