Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

Easy no-bake bars with a chocolate and peanut butter layer.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Melt butter, peanut butter, and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until smooth.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and flour until just combined.
  3. Press mixture into the bottom of an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  4. In a separate bowl, melt chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons of peanut butter until smooth.
  5. Spread chocolate mixture evenly over the peanut butter layer.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • For a smoother chocolate topping, you can add a tablespoon of vegetable oil when melting the chocolate chips.
  • Store bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
